Written for five markets
The English pages are written for site managers, quantity surveyors and engineers in the UK, the US, Australia, Canada and Ireland. These markets share a language but not their rules: a UK site diary, a US daily report and an Australian site diary answer to different contracts, and retention is handled differently in each. Where practice differs, the guides say so and name the rule or contract they rely on, instead of assuming one rule for all.
Every result can be checked by hand. Each tool page shows its formula, a worked example with the same numbers as our calculation tests, and a reference table with its source, such as the ASTM A615 bar weights or the soil bulking factors of US Army FM 5-434. The sources were last checked on 25 Oct 2026.
The tools support planning and record keeping. They do not replace your contract, the regulations that apply to your project or the judgment of the supervising engineer.
