Who is responsible

The controller is the business named in the operator box on this page. It is established in Bosnia and Herzegovina, outside the European Union. You can reach us about any privacy question at info@civilmanual.com.

Because the site offers its tools to people in the European Union, the GDPR applies to that processing through its Article 3(2).

Calculator entries stay on your device

Everything you enter into the calculators, including worker names in the training matrix and the daily report, is processed only in your browser. It is not sent to our server, not stored in a database and not linked to you. Excel and PDF files are created in your browser and saved directly to your device. There are no user accounts.

Visit statistics without cookies

We count visits with Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves. It sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not follow you across websites; it records aggregate data such as the page visited, the referring site, the type of device and the country. We do not use Google Analytics.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are used and where the content needs work (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and delivery

The site's static files are hosted by StableHost and delivered through the Cloudflare network. To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks and abuse, these providers briefly process technical data such as your IP address, the time of access and request headers. We do not use this data to build profiles and do not link it to calculations.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the site securely and reliably (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email

If you write to info@civilmanual.com, the message is forwarded to the operator's mailbox through Cloudflare's email routing. We use your address and message only to answer you or to correct a reported error, and keep them for no longer than 12 months after the last message unless a legal obligation requires longer. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your request (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Giving us your address is voluntary, but without it we cannot reply.

Advertising

The site currently shows no advertising and loads no advertising scripts or cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set.

Recipients and transfers

Personal data reaches only the providers named above: the hosting provider, Cloudflare for delivery and email routing, and our own analytics installation. We do not sell data or pass it to anyone else.

Because the operator is based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, an email you send us is received outside the European Union and the UK. Cloudflare runs a global network and may process data in other countries when it delivers the site or routes email.

How long data is kept

Calculator entries are not kept by us at all. Emails are kept for up to 12 months, as described above. Visit statistics are stored in aggregate form without personal identifiers. Technical delivery data is kept by the providers only as long as they need it for delivery and security.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send requests to info@civilmanual.com; we answer within one month. Because we do not store calculations, the only personal data we normally hold about you is email correspondence.

No decisions are made about you by automated means, and there is no profiling.

Complaints

You have the right to complain to a data protection regulator, in particular in the EU country where you live or work or where you believe the infringement took place (Article 77(1) GDPR). We would appreciate the chance to answer first, so please write to us before you do.

• UK: the Information Commission (ICO), which took over from the Information Commissioner on 30 Sep 2026. It usually expects you to raise the matter with the organization first and then accepts complaints through its online form.
• Ireland: the Data Protection Commission (An Coimisiún um Chosaint Sonraí), which accepts complaints through its online form after you have tried to resolve the matter with the organization.
• Other EU countries: the data protection regulator of the country where you live or work, or where the infringement took place.
• Outside the EU and the UK, for example in the US, Australia or Canada, local privacy law may give you further rights; write to us and we will answer on the same terms.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 16 and does not knowingly process their data.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add a feature or change a provider. This version applies from 25 Oct 2026.
